Who We Help

Net proceeds from the Rick O'Donnell 5 Mile Trail Run and Ultra Challenge benefit the Frederick Steeplechasers Memorial Scholarship Fund. The race raised over $5000 for the scholarship fund in 2024.

Scholarships are awarded in the spring to deserving high school seniors who embody the character and integrity of the Steeplechaser members to whom we dedicate this race. The Frederick Steeplechasers have awarded over $75,500 to deserving high school seniors via the FSRC Memorial Scholarship to 49 recipients since 2016. About the Frederick Steeplechasers

The Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club has been supporting runners, hosting races, and volunteering in the Frederick community since 1975. We promote running as a fun and healthy activity, and welcome runners of all ages and abilities. In 2025, FSRC raised over $62,111 for local charitable causes through our four Signature Races.
